The Da Vinci Code

Dwight has little interest in reading this book, doubly so when he knew it was going to be consumable as a movie. All of the negative reviews left Dwight’s expectations low. The movie excelled in beating his expectations. The beginning and middle of the movie were well done in Dwight’s opinion. The weakest link for Dwight was the ending. Perhaps cause he already knew the ‘secret’ mostly though it just fell flat. Tom Hanks wasn’t too bad. The real stars were Paul Bettany and Ian McKellan. Audrey will still have a special place in my heart despite the weak performance given here.

Theater worthy: no
DVD worthy: rental if you haven’t seen it

Long time no see

Dwight has been wholly ignoring idioChron as of late. Problems with the bleeding edge version of the blogging software he was using was making idioChron a frustrating thing indeed. However Dwight realized that the pretty theme he was using was 99% of the problem so for the time being he is back to the default. Perhaps Dwight will go back and fill in the holes, but for now he will just concentrate on not getting any further behind.

Some brief notes from Dwight as of late. Dwight has him one of those new fangled 20” iMacs at work now. Unfortunately it showed up while Dwight is knee deep in work that requires a program though available for Mac, the company only has licensed for Windows. To add insult to injury it is Flash the bane of Dwight’s existence.

Dwight would like to encourage all to make their summer more effective by going to a site he made for that very purpose. After all effective summers are not an accident It doesn’t play to well with windows ie, but Firefox and Safari handle it well. There is still plenty of touch-ups to be made to the site, but most of the core functionality kinks have been worked out. Dwight is hoping to be able to spend sometime soon getting the presentation by Damian Dayton, a co-conspirator, up in movie form so you can better grasp what exactly the effective summer movement is all about.
